Happy Holidays!!

Hello everyone. I first want to wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! School has been keeping me very busy but I get a bit of a break for a couple of weeks. Besides that I have been training everyday and will soon be headed back out to the beach. I am very excited about the upcoming year. For those that aren’t aware, Kerri is expecting her second child (Congratulations to her and Casey), so I will be teaming up with Nicole Branagh. Nicole is such a dynamic player, it is going to be fun. I am also trying to put some clinics together for both youth and adults. I have two clinics kicking off next month, Jan 9-10 Cincinnati, OH and Jan 30th Sterling, IL. As you all know, I love to interact with people and I feel that through these clinics I will be able to share my love for the game as well as my knowledge. It will be a very good time I promise!!! Beach volleyball is absolutely my favorite sport! I play it as often as I can here in Texas and try to get out to California as often as possible. Over the Christmas holidays I was invited to the High Performance Holiday Camp at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center. It was the most awesome time of my life! I would love to hear about any clinics you have and would love it if you have any advice you can give me on getting to play beach in college!

Hey, I love beach volleyball and I play at a rec center sometimes, I wanted to ask you a defensive question but I don’t know where I should ask it at so I’ll try here. How do you get better digging deflections off the block? Sometimes it just goes in unexpected directions.

Hi MIsty!! We’ve actually met a few times but I’m sure you don’t remember cuz you meet 100 people a day :) Anyway, if you ever do any clinics in SoCal please let me know. I coach the varsity volleyball team at Antelope Valley Christian School and I would love to take them. You taught me how to set 12 years ago at a camp at AV College. It would be cool for my girls to have the same experience I did when I was there age. Take care!!

Welcome back Misty! Excellent news, I can’t wait to see you play again. Too bad it won’t be with Kerri though. Nicole is not “Six Feet of Sunshine”!! Nicole is a great player but needs some help on the personality side. Hopefully playing with you will help her. I miss living in America and volunteering at the AVP tournaments. The Phuket Open was great this year though with 3 American teams in the final four, and April and Jen taking the title. Hope you can come over for that in 2010! I’ll be happy to help you arrange the vacation. :<) 85 degrees pretty much every day, hard to beat that!

Happy Holidays to you, your family, and the pups! I’m trying to keep warm by thinking about the beach (in the summer). Last week we shoveled about 12 inches of white Christmas off our too long driveway. What do you do for sore muscles? Recovery time is longer than it used to be. Must be something out there to speed up the process. Really glad to hear about your returning to the beach. Will miss you and Kerri playing together. You are a great team. Hoping 2010 will be a better year for
everyone.

This past Saturday more than a foot of snow fell in Philadelphia, PA. Biggest snow in December in Philly in 100 years. Give Al Gore a snow shovel when he next talks about global warming.

I fear the health care reform the Senate is passing will penalize the individual initiative needed to be a good doctor, not to mention penalize those of us opposed to abortion. Misty, you’re really good at what you do. Wish your scope of influence extended beyond volleyball. Merry Christmas!

Maaaaan, I’m happy for Kerri and everything, but I was REALLY looking forward to seeing you and Kerri reunite. It’s been so long. You got injured, Kerri had a baby and now you’ve made your recovery and you’re ready to come back and now Kerri is having another baby! It’s killing me. It bothers me so much to see either of you playing with someone else. You guys are making me SO nervous about 2012. Sigh. Love you both!

Hi ya Misty! Hope you and Matt and the pups have a great Holiday. Have one of those clinics in O regon and I am so there! Can you post which avp events you and Nicole will be playing in. I know the FIBV events someimes run at the same time.I would like to know if i have to pay airfare, hotel and ticket fees at least you will be there.
