Congrats on the GOLD!!! However, you were my favorite entertainment off the court. You are such a crack up. I always looked forward to something funny you did. By the way, I LOVE the cone hat with the painted dragon on it you wore at the men’s sand volleyball final. Did you buy it at the Great Wall? I have been looking everywhere online for one like it. Congrats again and I hope to see you either playing at 2012 Olympics or doing some sort of commentary. You’d be more interesting than some of the journalists I’ve had to watch.

Speechless I think was the best word as I sat and watched the gold medal match and the medal ceremony. I was filled with pride and amazement at what I was witnessing. The hard work, time, effort, and emotions have paid off in the best way possible. What I saw and have been seeing over the last couple of years has been the best display of team work and dedication to the sport, goal and each other. Congratulations on all the successes that have been received and medals that have been placed around your neck.
Besides the athletic accomplishments (which are great), being a great person is even better. I have enjoyed seeing a dynamic duo on the sand but even a better duo off!!
Again…congratulations and good luck with the next stage of your life. Can’t wait to see you back in the sand!!

I love you two being such friends, training that hard, putting so much effort in it. I wish I could manage it, but I am too lazy. Triple weekly table tennis training seems a lot for me haha. And that’s why I won’t really ever compete in such thing like Olympics. If I can’t get the medal, I’ll help you two girls get one. I already did, and it seems we are all so good, you two on the sand, me in front of TV yelling “Go Misty, Go Kerry!” It seems we found a secret combination :)

Wow. Super congratulations of getting the gold!!!! We all knew you guys would do it, but it was so intense and exciting to watch, especially with the rain aspect added in. You and Kerri are such a fantastic team, it’s insane how well you work together. I think the fact that you care about each other so much is a key part of why you’re such a wonderful team. From watching you guys on TV you both seem to have awesome, contrasting personalities that compliment each other perfectly.

You are both fantastic athletes and I’m so happy you pwned the 08 Olympics. I think you have one of the quirkiest, most hilarious personalities I’ve ever seen and I wish you and Walsh the best as you start a new chapter of your lives (and hopefully continue to dominate beach volleyball).

That was definitely deserved! Amazing absolutely amazing, So intense to watch the gold medal game, can’t imagine to play! Playing well under that pressure is quite a feat.
I’ve noticed something about you and Kerri that is different from the other teams, the cohesion between you two, and the consistent five highs or pats whther a point or loss of, you truly are the best team to play, I believe you have reached your goal and it would be hard to imagine a team that would ever play the way you guys do together. Watching you play is like watching something amazing happen. Thanks for adding greatness to our world.

Last thing….are you and Kerri playing in the AVP tour come Sept? Would love to see another month of Volleyball at its best before you retire for a bit ;)!!!

I watch the Marlins Giants game last night. Your husband Matt was interviewed prior to the game on the local broadcast. The interview was prior to your gold medal match. He was so nervous for you and his caring and love almost jumped through the screen. I always rooted for you and Kerri but there was something about that interview that made me take notice of the pure human element that goes into a relaitionship and how it relates to sports.

Good to see you supporting your mother who died of cancer and bringing this disease to the forefront also a strong support point for me. My grandmother died of it and my sister caught it in advance getting rid of it, but going bankrupt in the process. America is number one in beach volleyball now we need a health care plan (HR676 single payer ) that will bring America’s care to Gold as well.

Great job ladies. You two are so much fun to watch. May- Treanor-Walsh is indeed the benchmark in beach volleyball for both men and women. We love your spirit, enthusiasm, and skill on the court. My only suggestion is to have fun when you win the finals. maybe mus wrestling or going topless!

Please put on warm up suits or other clothing when you are on the podium receiving your gold medals. I could care less if you beautiful women played nude! All the more fun for us viewers; however, out of respect for the USA, I would love to see you two in USA sweats when the anthem is played, so you could be beautiful American women who appreciate the people who support you.

At any rate, I love you both and wish you all the best in the olympics and beyond. I was a baseball, basketball, racquetball guy when I was an athlete, and only dabbled in volleyball a bit, but know the best when I see it.

I look forward to you both crushing the Chinese in the Finals. By the way, I know Misty is married, but if Kerri is single and ever in Florida, have her give me a call. I am sure that will happen!! Ha Ha.

Have been a HUGE fan of you and Kerri since 2004 when you dominated and have been following your career ever since. Well thats a lie, I have actually been following since 2000. Hey I know the best when I see it and you had a HUGE impact on myself as I too play indoor and got into beach after watching you two destroy the teams in Athens :). My indoor game is certainly better, but I am working hard at my beach. Hoping one day to meet you both. Hey I may be Canadian but I know the best when I see it and damn….You and Kerri not only do you have the skills (AMAZING btw), but you both are SO humble about it all and play the game with heart and passion. This isnt evident with other teams. Your sportmanship is amazing and I just love watching you both play. In highschool I was a fierce back court player and hitter. my offense was bang on. Hell I even played in the Ontario finals for all 10 games with a broken wrist (happened after the 3point of the first game). Nothing was going to stop me.
Anywho…..Best of luck on the 21st. You and Kerri are going to DOMINATE!! I will be cheering you on here in the North with about a dozen other HUGE fans from work. Hey if you ever need a trauma/ER nurse on your staff….let me know ;) ha haaaa. Hope you kicked that colds butt and feeling 100% better. Go and take care of business you two…..GO MAY-WALSH!!!!!!

Hi Misty. I have never watched any kind of volleyball until now with the Olympics going on. You & Walsh are AMAZING. I have really enjoyed you guys’ matches.

I admire what you do with your mon’s ashes. My mother died in January of 2002 of cancer as well & I know how devistating it can be. What a way for her to be with you.

Hello there, Misty! Congratulations on getting this far – there was never a doubt in mind that you wouldn’t! You guys are unstoppable! To be quite honest, I was never really a fan of volleyball or the olympics for that matter, but watching Kerri and you play is always a joy! I’m constantly checking my tv guide just to make sure I don’t miss a match. Cannot wait to watch you guys defeat China in the finals! It’s gonna be awesome :)

As a supporter of a free and independent Tibet, I was planning on boycotting the Olympics. However, my fiancee is a former volleyball player and a huge fan. She said she had to watch you all defend your gold. I decided to suck up my opinions and thoughts and cheer you all on as well. I must say WOW. You and Karri have made volleyball my new favorite sport. As a former basketball player, I thought nothing could be more exciting than live basketball but you all have changed me on that. Best of luck in the Gold Medal match and know that John and Natalie in Badin, NC are cheering you all on! Kick some ass like yall did to Brazil last night.
