Misty on Letterman

In case you missed it, Misty appeared last night on the Late Show with David Letterman. Misty and Kerri talked with Dave about the history of beach volleyball, Misty’s famous picture with president Bush, the forming of their partnership, and their experience in Beijing. And for those of you itching to see Misty back out on the beach, Misty and Kerri are returning this weekend to their AVP schedule in Mason, OH. After Mason, The Crocs Cup Shootout, the post-season for the AVp, will travel to Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and conclude at the “grand-daddy” of volleyball tournaments, the AVP Crocs Cup Shootout Manhattan Beach Open. At stake is the Crocs Cup, a Tiffany trophy that will be awarded to the men’s and women’s top team on tour and the million dollar purse.

NBC will air the women’s final this weekend on Sunday at 1:30PM ET.

Not sure why my msg that I sent last night was not posted, but here it is again….you and Kerri played a GREAT match yesterday and although you may have lost…..you still remain #1 to me and I am sure many others. I mean heck….ya cant win them all (every now and then you have to share the glory ;);))

Not to mention you are two time Olympic gold medalists…..now that is a record that will be close to impossible to beat if not impossible.
Keep up the great work, get some rest and look forward to you kicking some BUTT this up coming wkend.

Ok, so I watched you and Kerri play today and I must say….again it was a GREAT game. Even though you lost to EY and Branagh (barely) You played an amazing match. However I must say…win or lose you and Kerri are and will ALWAYS BE #1. You have set a record that will be nearly impossible to beat (if not impossible). Such humble and good hearted souls who have sooo much to give the world and to the volleyball world. Now like our mothers always taught us…You must share!!! So there you go….go shared a tourny and the next one shall be yours. :)...You will always be #1 to me and I am sure to the rest of your fans. You and Kerri have a partnership that no other team has and thats what maks you two the BEST (win or lose). I look forward to watching your next match. Get some rest and on a side note….I am super jealous you are paired with Maxsim…he is my fav :)

What a great match you played today. Although you may have lost to EY and Branagh I still think you and Kerri played a great game. Honestly you and Kerri are such kind hearted and humble not to mention AMAZING players and I know you will not let this loss get you down. Just like you dont let all your wins go to your heads. Cant wait to see you in the next tourny.
Still #1 in my heart and still the team I look up to as players and individuals.
